1. Your money will be well spent - Your child gets an ELITE level of training. You'll pay registration/try-out fees, monthly tuition, uniform fees, 2 competition fees and travel. Tumbling is included during competition season September - April. There are no hidden costs ... you will not be forced to buy Maine Stars apparel, bags, practice clothes, etc. - we will not nickle and dime you to death.
When it comes time for competition every Maine Stars team is in the thick of things. We attend competitions where there is competition because we are not afraid of it! Competing against other teams makes us better and stronger! In fact, our Senior 4 team competed on 4/18/09 against one the most respected gyms in the nation "Top Gun" - and won! Once again, we can and will compete with the best of them!
2. Maine Star coaches have over 30+ years of coaching experience combined. Along with gyms such as World Cup, Top Gun, Georgia All Stars, Pro Spirit, and East Elite; Maine Stars was chosen as one of the TOP 25 GYMS IN THE NATION and was present at the establishment of the NACCC (National All Star Coaches Congress). Our coaches are also members of the USASF (the governing body of all star cheerleading). We attend coaching clinics every summer to remain knowledgeable about the safety and rules for the sport.
In fact, Lori and Becky presented the 4.2 level (allows Level 4 stunts, but level 2 tumbling) idea at the USASF Northeast Regional meeting in New York this past summer, and the USASF unanimously adopted it. They coach with ALL KIDS in mind.
3. Our students are leveled according to their abilities. We do not try to be something we are not! Our experience tells us to "perfect our skills before we progress". That is why all of our teams our successful! You will not find a more consistent gym in the state. Our record speaks for itself. In the past 8 years our teams have always placed in the top ten!! In fact, 90% of the time our teams have placed in the top 5! We have NUMEROUS National titles, Grand Champion honors (jackets, sweatshirts, rings galore), choreography awards, spirit, showmanship, and music awards. We do all of our own choreography. Your child will feel confident and proud about the originality of their routine.
4. Most importantly, we care about every child. We know all their names, we work hard to help them attain success, we teach them important life skills, and we appreciate the support that our veteran and new families give us!
